Our Mission

The purpose of The San Diego Coalition for Justice in Palestine is to coordinate the efforts of member groups and individuals working to protest the the historic and ongoing oppression of the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and in Israel itself. This coordination includes joint demonstrations, public speaking, media work, political action, and longer-term campaigns like boycott and divestment, and education. CJP does not aim to replace or overshadow the work of individual groups but instead complement that work and pull in additional allies to our cause.

Demands

Member groups share common demands that we all agree on and promote. Individual groups have every right to promote their own demands outside the work of the coalition.

Immediate Demands:

1. Stop Israeli attacks on Palestinian civilians and lift the siege imposed by Israel and Egypt on Gaza by opening all crossings to the Gaza strip.
2. Stop US Aid to Israel. During this deep recession in the US, our tax dollars should be used here at home instead of funding war crimes by the Israeli army.
3. Call for an investigation of Israeli war crimes in Gaza, including the bombing of schools, mosques, ambulances, clinics and residential buildings, and the use of chemical weapons such as white phosphorus.

Additional Demands:

1. Call on US media to cover the Israeli-Palestinian conflict more objectively and to stop blaming the Palestinian victims.
2. Demand an immediate enforcement of the US Arms Export Control Act. US weapons are being used by Israel in a manner that violates US laws.
3. Demand reparations for the victims of Israeli aggression.
